Meet the bridesmaids

Our wedding party will be fairly small, and selecting bridesmaids for me was a no-brainer.

Amanda Boland, whom I’ve known since fifth grade, will be my maid of honor. I walked around the corner to her house one night in late August and gave her one of these with a little note inside.

Her first maid of honor duty was helping me put together similar gifts for the three bridesmaids — our best friends, Melissa Barrett, Sara Scholl and Leanne Salvadore.

Each bag contained a white balloon with a navy ribbon and a "pop me" tag. The balloons were each stuffed with confetti and a little note.

Four of us got together in my backyard last night mostly to catch up, but also so I could give each of them a gift bag with their own balloons. We Face Timed with Leanne, who recently moved.

The result was A LOT of confetti in my yard, and three bridesmaids.

I’ve known Sara and Leanne since grade school, and Melissa since high school, and  I could not imagine getting married without all four of these girls standing next to me.
